About the event

Turn the released problem statement into a functional, deployed minimum viable product. Teams may use approved AI tools for prompting, development, testing, and deployment.

The top 8 teams present a live demo to the judges.

Event schedule

  2. 9:15 AM – 9:30 AMRulebook, judging criteria and problem statement release
  3. 9:30 AM – 11:30 AMBuild: architecture, prompting, development and testing
  4. 11:30 AM – 11:50 AMFinal submission and preliminary evaluation
  5. 11:50 AM – 12:45 PMLive demos by the top 8 teams
  6. 12:45 PM – 1:00 PMResults and closing

NoteBring a laptop and charger, your development tools, GitHub access, AI-tool accounts and any API credentials your workflow needs.

Rules

  1. Required submission

    A publicly accessible live product URL; a GitHub repository with the event project; a README covering the problem, solution, stack, implementation, deployment and limitations; key prompt history showing iteration and debugging; and a short screen-recorded demo.

  2. Judging

    Problem solving and innovation 25%, prompt strategy and execution 25%, UI/UX and functionality 20%, deployment and completeness 15%, live pitch and demo 10%, documentation 5%.

  3. Finals

    The top 8 teams give a three-minute live demo followed by two minutes of questions from the judges.

  4. Original work only

    Previously completed projects and project-specific code prepared before the event are prohibited.

  • Open to students from any college
  • Teams of 2–3 participants
